Day Secondary

The curriculum has been devised to deliver a high quality all-round education; it is continuously reviewed to ensure that it is relevant, innovative and challenging.

During Senior Secondary (SS) 1, students begin to follow a broad curriculum which aims to give them a sound preparation for their WAEC and NECO SSCE as well as (our newly introduced) IGCSE and SAT courses. We help our students in SS 1 make informed choices for their optional SSCE, IGCSE and SAT subjects. After the Junior Secondary School, from SS 1, all students study English, Mathematics, Civic Education, one trade subject and six option subjects which are selected from many possible options.

At the stage when students are expected to make subject choices, a comprehensive programme of advice for students and their parents is offered by the Career Unit, tutors and the Vice Principal (Academics), who maintains an overview of all academic matters.
